Papineauville's "Mercredis en Musique" returns for a vibrant seventh season

Papineauville is gearing up for another exciting summer as the Municipality announces the return of its popular "Mercredis en Musique" series at Parc Henri-Bourassa. This event, now in its seventh season, promises to offer a diverse array of free musical performances, inviting the community to gather and enjoy live music in a picturesque outdoor setting.
The series begins on June 26 with a performance by Namasté, a duo known for their versatility across various musical genres. On July 3, Danny Richard will take the stage, followed by the folk group Cigales on July 10, known for their original compositions.
As the summer progresses, the lineup continues with André-Ann Lévis Chanut and Johnny Hayes, another duo performing on July 17. The community can look forward to an interactive evening on July 24 with Karaoke DJacob Corrigan, inviting attendees to participate and sing along. Closing out July, Sébastien Dubois will perform on July 31, adding his unique touch to the series.
August's schedule includes a performance by the orchestra Tissé Céré on August 7, and La Famille Chartrand on August 14. Comedy will make its way to the stage on August 21 with Simon Lavergne and his guests providing a night of humor. The final Wednesday performance will feature chansonnier Gerry Joly on August 28.
In addition to the Wednesday concerts, there will be an Open Jam session on September 2, encouraging musicians to bring their instruments and join the communal music-making. The summer series concludes with an open-air cinema night on September 6, a perfect family-friendly event to wrap up the season. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring their chairs to these free events. In case of rain, performances will be cancelled.
