The Centre d’expertise en mobilité de l’Outaouais et de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue (MOBIO) held its 16th annual general meeting (AGM) on October 8, 2026, a gathering that allowed the organization to present a review of its activities and unveil its priorities for the coming year, among other things. The event was particularly significant, as the organization is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
In the presence of its members, MOBI-O provided an update on the many projects and initiatives completed over the past year—such as, most recently, the local transportation plan for the village of Saint-André-Avellin, the “school street” project on rue Allaire in Gatineau, and many others—while presenting its action plan for the coming months.
Since its inception, MOBI-O has supported communities and local stakeholders in the transition toward more sustainable modes of transportation, such as walking, biking, and public transit, among others. Its work aims, in particular, to encourage simpler lifestyles, promote responsible travel, and contribute to the development of welcoming, accessible, and inclusive living environments.
The nonprofit organization wishes to reflect on the initiatives undertaken over the years and the efforts made to advance mobility practices. It also intends to continue its commitment to solutions tailored to the needs of communities and their residents.
MOBI-O thanked its members for their participation in the AGM and for their contribution to fulfilling its mission.
